The Mechanicsburg dual deck project shows why custom deck design can’t be copied from one side of the house to the other. The front deck needed curb appeal. It used a picture frame border with Trex Cinnamon Cove around a Trex Toasted Sand field, plus Trex black aluminum railing and black post sleeves. The back deck had a different job. It used Trex Cinnamon Cove with traditional Trex railing and larger posts to create a more private backyard space. Same home. Two decks. Different purpose. That’s where custom work makes sense.
