Flexible Design Changes During Construction
Upon arrival, several key changes were requested, including upgrading posts from 4×4 to 6×6 and expanding the deck from 12′ x 12′ to 14′ x 16′. Veteran Deck Builders adapted seamlessly to keep the project moving without delays.
Premium TimberTech Decking System
The deck features a refined combination of double picture framing in Coconut Husk with a Dark Cocoa field, delivering contrast, depth, and long-term durability using TimberTech materials.
Added Garage Deck Refurbishment and Pergola Integration
A small deck off the garage was also refurbished during the project. Additionally, a pergola—originally not in the scope—was installed as a value-added upgrade included with the deck project.
Lighting and Rail System Enhancements
The project included integrated stair and deck lighting using RDI low-voltage lighting and transformer systems, along with RDI components. Railings were installed using Finyline T-Top style in Clay with Black Balusters for a clean modern finish.
Project Completion, Timeline, and Cost
Despite multiple mid-project changes, the build was completed in 6 days with full adaptation to scope expansion. The total project cost was $22,825, delivering a highly customized outdoor living space with upgraded structure, lighting, and aesthetics.
